#180103 Radnoti 4-channel perfusion system for single cell and small tissue bath preparations
180103 4-channel Micro Perfusion system for single cell and small tissue bath preparations, often used for electrophysiological studies and drug screening. The system is designed to maintain a perfusion solution’s temperature and aeration through the use of 120142-250 water-jacketed reservoirs. Aeration is controlled via manifolds with individual Teflon Needle Valve aeration controls. The system can be adjusted to permit different gases to be used for hypoxia/ischemia or volatile anesthetic experiments. Water-jacketed systems are often more stable than small, electrically heated perfusate or syringe warmers because their reserve heat capacity is much larger, thereby reducing temperature fluctuations. The 180103 Micro Perfusion System is useful for systems requiring fluid delivery via peristaltic pump. Reservoirs with volumes from 10 ml to 5 liters are also available (see water-jacketed reservoirs). Fluids can be added during experimental runs through the use of the optional 140143 series reservoir oxy bubbler with fluid return port. 180103 systems come standard with 3/32 x 5/32 tygon tubing. Polyethylene or Teflon tubing in sizes ranging from 1/32 in and 1/16 in, the standards for many preparations, to larger tubing for faster flows and micro-bore tubing for smaller volumes are all available as options. The systems can be controlled using optional solenoid valve and peristaltic pump drive systems, allowing for complex delivery regimens to be initiated via optional computer based control system or the user’s pre-existing equipment.
