Radnoti 8 Channel tissue bath System Including Grass transducer and Amplifier combination
Radnoti 8-Unit Tissue Organ Bath System Featuring the Grass P11TFT03 Amplifier Force Transducer Combination. Grass FTO3 Isometric Force Transducer are a proven robust design, combined with the P11T Compact Amplifiers and the Radnoti 8-Unit tissue bath System the 159928-GR provides a durable research platform for contractical force applications. The Radnoti 8-Unit Tissue Organ Bath Systems were created to enhance the productivity of researchers by permitting them to simultaneously monitor eight preparations, allowing replication of protocols. By allowing replication of protocols, these systems give the researcher greater throughput, decrease the time required to amass data. The system ’s modular design allows the option to select a wide variety of Radnoti tissue baths, with 5ml, 10ml, 25ml and 50ml baths available as standard selections with the system. Specialty tissue baths may be requested at an additional charge. The purchase of several different size baths for the unit is also an option. Radnoti tissue baths are individually mounted via adjustable ring-clamps to stainless steel support rods that are screwed into a sturdy steel base that is coated to resist corrosive salt solutions. The Tissue Bath Solution flows from a water jacketed, temperature controlled 2-liter reservoir through a glass manifold system with flow adjustment valves. Optional additional reservoirs may be purchased to perform complex drug additions and wash out protocols.
The bath solutions enter the tissue bath through a pre-heating coil built within the water jacket of High Tech tissue baths.
The experimenter may empty the baths via a bottom drain, controlled with a stopcock. The baths may also be used in a constant flow mode with the waste perfusate exiting an overflow outlet at the top of the bath. An optional Radnoti 5-liter plastic vacuum flask may be added to the system to aid in rapid wash and fill of the baths. Both overflow and bottom drains may be routed to permit monitoring the release of endogenous substances, drug metabolites, or to design a cascade system configuration. Bath aeration is finely controlled through the removable individual needle valves in each bath. Each tissue bath has its own force transducer and tissue tensioner, permitting rapid adjustment, positioning and tension adjustment of the specimen. The system comes complete with a Grass Technologies FT03 Isometric Force Transducer. Supplied with three sets of range springs providing four ranges. This yields maximum working ranges of over 40 to 1. The P11T is an economical transducer amplifier designed to amplify and condition signals from the Grass FT03 Force Transducer. The compact design allows placement on the Tissue
Organ Bath near the preparation. The unit provides transducer excitation, balancing voltage, gain control and a transducer calibration circuit for simulating a known force from the FT03. The output is displayed on a 3-digit LCD Display. The P11T is powered from an external power supply which will power up to eight of the P11Ts using the provided cables which daisy chain from unit to unit avoiding cable clutter. transducer output is conveniently shown on a LED while the +/-5V output is from the rear panel BNC connection. BNC cables are also provided. The system is also available without force transducers and amplifiers (part number 159928-X1).
The systems are recommended for passive and stimulated muscle preparations using protocols including drug titrations, drug metabolism and kinetics, radio labeling, washout experiments, muscle force, and stress measurements for cardiac muscle, skeletal muscle, smooth muscle such as aortic rings, bladder or intestine as well as many other experiments. Thin, non-muscle preparations can be maintained in these baths as well. Systems are available in complete turnkey configurations or by individual components as with all of the extremely flexible Radnoti designs.
These systems are available as 8, 4, 2 and single channel systems.
