#166070 and #166060 Baths for Large Organ or Single Cell Isolation Procedures
To accommodate researchers using larger organs such as adrenal glands, hearts, livers, kidneys, or those isolating cells from such organs, Radnoti has developed these two baths
The shallow form has a depth of 45mm, and an I.D. of 95mm. A pre-warming coil delivers solutions to a Luer entry port located two thirds of the way up the bath interior. The Luer fitting permits attachment of a cannula which is then placed into the organ. The deep form is 100mm with a 95mm I.D. and has a single pre-warming coil with bubble trap and Luer lock fitting.
Both baths feature a bottom drain, an overflow outlet to permit continuous perfusion and Radnoti quick disconnect fittings. The #166070 comes with an removable aerator.

#1583 Series Tissue Organ Baths with removable T.N.V. dispenser tube with hook

The Radnoti baths are an elegant, highly functional design that have
become an indispensable tool for studies in pharmacology, physiology,
biochemistry and other biological sciences. The baths are fully water-jacketed
to provide stable temperature control and incorporate Radnoti Quick Disconnect
fittings. The central drain insures complete removal of chamber fluids,
permitting both effective tissue washing and complete collection of endogenously
released substances. Superior oxygen delivery occurs through a sintered
glass disc that is sealed into the end of an oxygenating tube. The oxygenating
tube is removable for easy cleaning and replacement. The chambers are
available in eight sizes for tissue preparations ranging from minute sections
of isolated blood vessels to intact organs. Each unit comes complete with
two Luer valves, Luer connectors, a glass hook tissue support and one
Teflon needle valve for precise adjustment of gas flow. Optional plain
oxygenating tube sold separately.

#165025 "Q" Quiet Tissue Bath

Oxygenation of tissues, especially cardiac muscle, is a requisite in maintaining normal physiological and biochemical responses. However, aeration can introduce mechanical noise due to impinging of gas bubbles on the suspended tissue. This mechanical noise can obscure the force measurements collected from small tissue samples, such as papillary muscles. To correct this problem, we have designed a tissue bath that virtually eliminates gas bubble interference. This design incorporates many desirable features of our High-Tech tissue baths. Utilizing the basic principles from a design by the eminent physiologist J.R. Blinks (J. Appl. Physiol. [1965] 20:755-7), the bath is a dual-chambered U-tube with a bridge connection midway between the two chambers. One chamber is used for aeration and has a removable aerating tube with a Teflon needle valve to permit fine adjustments to the gas flow. The tissue sample is placed in the other chamber. There is a circulating current generated by the rising gas bubbles during aeration. This design efficiently separates gas bubbles from the tissue chamber, yet it allows the oxygen-enriched perfusate to circulate through both chambers. Stimulating electrodes or other apparatus may be inserted into either or both chambers. Superfusate passes through the pre-warming coil built into the water-jacket and emerges at the desired temperature. An overflow outlet has been added to permit continuous or automated bath washing. Radnoti Quick Disconnect fittings are used to connect the water jacket to a temperature controlled re-circulating water bath. The tissue bath is drained from the bottom through a removable Luer lock stopcock. The tissue bath will serve admirably in cases where the researcher must resolve extremely small tissue force measurements or in cases where direct aeration would cause problems. Other potential uses would be side-by-side comparisons of tissues in the same bath, such as vessel rings with and without endothelium, etc.

#158502 Micro Tissue Baths with built in electrodes
In dealing with very small tissue samples or expensive drugs, a reduced
capacity tissue bath is a convenient tool. However, the small interior
chamber does not allow space for external stimulating electrodes. Therefore,
Radnoti has built into the chamber two opposing platinum electrodes for
stimulation of the small tissue preparation. This micro tissue bath also
features a removable Teflon needle valve oxygen-dispersing tube to facilitate
easy cleaning and replacement. This chamber has an overflow port.

#158400 Preparatory Tissue Bath

The most critical time in isolated tissue experiments is the period starting
from the removal of the tissue from its donor to the insertion of the
tissue into an organ bath. During this period, the tissue is often exposed
to variations in temperature and oxygen at a time when it is also being
traumatized by dissection. This can lead to loss of tissue viability and
compromised physiological and pharmacological properties. The Radnoti
Preparatory Tissue Bath is designed to eliminate the variability and tissue
damage that occurs during that critical period. The bath is water-jacketed
for stable temperature control and uses Radnoti Quick Disconnect Fittings.
The built-in, side-mounted gas dispersion tube provides oxygen to maintain
tissue viability. The open low form bath provides a stable, convenient
preparatory surface that can be positioned beneath a dissecting microscope.
The tissue may be pinned to the bottom of the bath using a 4-6mm paraffin
or Sylgard coating (applied after taping the gas dispersion tube closed
until the coating hardens). If necessary, the bath may be chilled by the
circulation of cold water or an antifreeze solution or placed upon crushed
ice. Fabricated out of chemically inert and durable borosilicate glass.
Fully autoclavable.
