The 8-channel systems come with a controller and miniature solenoid valves mounted in an aluminum box, with 8 ft. connecting cable, mounting rods, X-blocks, and an external power supply. The miniature size allows positioning the valves near your sample using 1 ft. rods, which could be mounted on a standard 0.5” ring stand using provided X-blocks. Alternatively, the valves could be positioned on optional magnetic legs on any iron/steel surface. In order to attach the magnetic legs, open the valve’s box cover (four screws on the bottom) and insert two screw provided together with the legs into the two openings in the cover (or on the bottom of the box). Attach the legs to the box using these two screws and close the cover. This unit can handle up to 16 channels with the addition of an 8 channel solenoid valve box.
VALVE CONTROL
Each output channel is capable of being activated by one of four ways, which can also be used in parallel:
Manual toggle switch (front panel);
External Input TTL one for each channel, rear panel BNC for all 16 channels, rear panel DB-9 connector for first 8 channels parallel to 8 BNC (DB-25 for PC16-232UP controller);
Analog Signal Decoder 1 of 16 output channels can be activated by applying an analog voltage to the analog discriminator input BNC located on the rear panel; using this input, one analog output channel from a data acquisition system can control 16 output channels, can be also used to read an analog signal at 10 bit resolution, to monitor temperature or any telegraph signal, for example, (not available for PC16-232UP controller);
Binary Decoder allows using four digital output channels from a data acquisition system to control 15 output channels (located on the rear panel);
Software Command sent through RS232/USB interface.
