Based on our popular Hi-Tech Heart chamber design, the Radnoti Hi-Tech Mouse Heart Chamber maintains many of it's larger counterparts features while it's reduced size accommodates the increasingly popular Langendorff and Working heart Mouse Heart protocols. The chamber is fully water-jacketed using Radnoti Quick Disconnect fittings to permit easy removal from the rest of the system for cleaning. As with it's predecessor both the chamber and the lid are independently mounted on support rods for easy positioning.While compact in size, the chamber maintains the removable pulley assembly and fiber optic ports found in the original Hi-Tech Heart Chambers. To accommodate the mouse heart the chamber's Cannula are 20-22 gauge stainless steel at the final connection point. The body of the Cannula are large diameter to reduce resistance. Both Cannula are mounted in rotating cams to allow for ease of positioning. The Cannula vertical and horizontal position are locked via thumb screws. Two additional access ports are provided in the lid for insertion of instrumentation such as balloon catheters, electrodes, fiber optic cables, etc. To enhance collection of perfusate, the bottom of the chamber funnels the effluent into a tapered ground glass fitting which directs the flow out of the chamber.

To accommodate the mouse heart, the chamber's cannulae are 14 - 22 gauge stainless steel press fit mounted in a removable female luer to threaded hub assembly. The cannula vertical position is adjusted by threading or unthreading the hub assembly into the lid. The horizontal position of the atrial cannula can be nominally adjusted in the same manner. Two additional female luer access ports are provided in the lid for insertion of instrumentation such as balloon catheters, electrodes, fiber optic cables, etc.

The cannula ends are not smooth to prevent better attachment!
