Scisense Octapolar Electrophysiology Catheter for Mice & Rats
Now you can complete your transgenic mouse and other animal studies with Ventricular ECG information. With eight electrodes and electrode spacing as small as 0.5mm, electrical phenotypes can be characterized along with more traditional parameters such as pressure and volume.
Our smallest re-usable, minimally invasive, catheter measures only 1.1 French in diameter, allowing it to be used in mice as early as five days old. Entry points include the Carotid artery, the Esophagus and the Jugular vein. We also offer a 2 French size for Rats and other sizes on request. Some typical parameters determined with Scisense electrophysiology catheters include conduction times, HIS potentials, nodal properties and refractory periods.

This electrophysiology catheter can be used for both pacing and recording, and will operate with most commercially available stimulators and amplifiers.
Scisense also carries a full line of third party alternatives for this type of equipment and can supply the necessary hardware and software to store and analyze these signals.
