One spring clip attaches to the sample and via a small suture through the back loop is connected to the lower tissue hook support. a second clip suspends the tissue and connects it to the transducer via a suture into the back loop. *recommended suture size #0 non stretch..

Tissue Clip Ring Supports

Designed to apply firm pressure on the sample while mimimizing tissue damage, Radnoti Tissue Ring Clips allow easy clamping of small and large tissue samples. The ring coil is seperated and held open (using a small needle) and the sample is placed between coils. When the needle is removed the spring tension of the stainless steel spring wire maintains even and firm pressure on the sample. One ring is used at the top of the sample and another at the bottom. The rings are then connected to the lower support or up to the isometric force transducer via non stretch suture(*recommended suture size #0 non stretch.) or stainless steel wire (Radnoti part number 158815-6). Provided in packages of twelve.

Vessel Ring Supports

A rapid easy to use solution for high throughput ring sample applications where multiple samples, 4, 8, 16 or more must be run on a daily basis such as aortic ring protocols. The Radnoti Ring Sample supports use a combination of a lower "L" support and an upper "Tri" support. Designed specifically for ring samples such as intestinal ring sample, aortic ring sample or any vascular or tissue ring segment that is to be set up for an isometric contractical force measurement. Available in borosilicate glass or stainless steel, with stainless steel or tungsten steel wire in an assortment of diameters and lengths (see listing bellow). A dual sample configuration is also offered for experimentation that calls for the control sample to be in the same chamber or for economical conversion of a 4-unit system to an 8, or an 8-unit to a 16 where buffer volume doe not present an economic issue.

The lower support allows for the easy slide over of the ring samples. The support pin is locked into place (depending on model) and the upper support triangle lower leg is slid into the sample and then connected to the isometric force transducer. A pre-load is applied and adjusted using the transducer positioner.
